Septic Pumping

When you are ready to schedule your septic tank pumping, it only takes a quick phone call to get your reservation set up. We are generally able to schedule a pumping reservation with just a couple days notice. However, if you are experiencing an emergency, we will do everything we can to fit you in that day. We do offer 24-hour emergency pump outs at an additional fee if you find yourself in a bind after regular business hours.

We start pump outs at 8:30 AM and generally work til 5:00 PM. We often cannot give you a specific time unless you are the first job of the day. We can generally narrow it down to a morning or afternoon appointment, but giving an exact time is difficult due to the the fact that we may encounter unexpected problems at any particular stop throughout the day. We understand that you have busy lives and know your time is valuable therefore, we do not require that you be home for a septic pumping. There is no need for our technicians to enter your home.

We do require payment at the time the service is provided. We accept cash, check and all major credit cards. We do not allow our technicians to take credit card information at the job site, but this information can be given to the office staff at the time the reservation is made. Your card will not be charged until the work is complete. Credit cards are not kept "on file" unless specifically requested by the homeowner. If you will not be home at the time of the pump out, and want to pay with cash or check, our drivers can pick up payment if you leave it in an agreed upon location. This information can be given to the office staff at the time you make the reservation.

We do ask that you leave a water hose available for our use if possible. We will use the hose to rinse things down, helping ensure a clean and thorough job. Once our technicians arrive at your home, a pump out generally takes no more than 45 minutes to an hour depending on your situation. Should we encounter a problem while on the job, you will be called and/or notified immediately before further work is performed. If you are home at the time of the pump out, you are more than welcome to be present while the technician does the work. It can be quite interesting, but a little bit smelly, so be prepared.

Since we are traveling to your home to perform our service, we assure you we take the utmost care to respect your home and property. Our drivers are experienced and trained and our trucks are equipped with approximately 160 feet of hose so that we can pump your tank from the road side. However, given the fact that much of our service area is rural and yards can be quite large, there are times, that require us to park in the driveway or in the yard to access the tank depending upon your particular property. We generally like to get the homeowners permission if such actions have to be taken to do a thorough job.

After having your tank pumped, it is your responsibility to see that water is put back into your tank. The likelihood of your tank "floating" out of the ground is unlikely, but in certain conditions, it is possible. Be mindful if you are in an area with high water such as near a lake or pond or if you have just experienced a large rain. Newly installed tanks are a concern due to the loose ground that surrounds the tank. Plastic tanks are more susceptible to "floating" than concrete tanks. By "living" in your home, you will refill your tank. Laundry, showers, flushing toilets, washing dishes, etc. will refill your tank. There is no need to stand at your tank for hours with a water hose. Having water in your tank is expected and wanted.

Just a few reminders and tips...

  • You can never get your septic tank pumped too often. Most people do not get it pumped frequently enough and this just leads to problems and expensive repairs.
  • Plan ahead and call to have your tank pumped prior to large birthday parties, weddings, family reunions, get-togethers, holidays and other special events to ensure your system performs as it should for you and your guests.
  • One option to consider when having a large gathering of people that could possibly overload your septic system, is to rent portable toilets and/or portable sinks. Leinneweber Services has a large inventory of portable units and we can provide this service to you as well. Please see the tab on our webpage regarding portable units for more information on this option.
